1992 940g fuel problems
Hello, I am looking to buy a Volvo 940g from my grandma and she said she will not sell me the car till I get it to run. I am having problems getting fuel to the motor. I replace thefuel pump in the gas tank this week and now I am clearly at a loss. I have no idea were to go from here, it has more than 2 gallons of gas in it and nothing, as long as I spray starter fluid in the car it will run but nothing if not. Please help me find out what is wrong, I need a car and this will be my first one, so help me out thanks!
How is the external fuel pump, its the high pressure pump that actually gives the fuel system its pressure, i would check to see if thats working right. i would also check fuel pump relays to see if they are actually giving power to the external fuel pump.
The 940 only has one fuel pump in the tank.
I would check the fuel filter first.
Then you need to see if you have injector pulse.
If you have injector pulse then it is only a fuel flow problem.
If you don't have injector pulse then you could have a bad relay, flywheel speed sensor, fuel pump relay,ETC

There is no fuel pulse, there is noteven a smell of gas with some hoses going to the injector, I have replaced the fuel pump and screen, plus relay, and fuel filter, and I am not real sure wehre to go from here.
