1992 Volvo 240 (Auto) Loose Shifter/Shifter Bushings Replacement
if the piece #3 is moving with the arm, then its likely that bolt #18 shown on the bottom is loose or has fallen out entirely.
if the arm is moving and piece 3 is staying fixed, then bushings 4 and/or 35 would be my guess.

Im curious to hear how this came out. I am having the same problem on my 92 245, shifter loose and wobbles from side to side.
Can anyone tell me the specs of the #18 bolt?
I also had play and after replacing the bushings realized i was missing a #18 bolt. Would love to replace all 3, hopefully there's an off the shelf option.

well, its going to be metric. i'd get one each of whatever metric bolts are in the same size range and try to thread them.
