1992 volvo 240 shaking

Default 1992 volvo 240 shaking NEED HELP question

hello my name is dan i am 22 years old and i am from VA and currently live in san diego

so i am stuck my car is shaking and vibrating violently in the front and back when i slow down under 20 mph i changed my rotors and my pads and i have no clue what it could be

It could be a frozen u-joint - most likely the rear u-joint. Remove the 4 bolts that connect the drive shaft to the differential. Check the u-joint there. It should swivel free and easily. If there is any binding then it needs to be replaced.

While your under the car and grab the rear of the transmission and see if you can wiggle it from side to side. A bad transmission mount can cause that vibration. I had a vibration that would start just as slowed down to come to a stop and or if I backed up in reverse, and it was the transmission mount.
