Default 1992 Volvo 240 Wont Crank

Hey everyone. I have noticed the last few weeks my crank has gotten weaker and more extended over time. I have never came to the car being dead. Whatever is going on has slowly gotten worse over time. All the lights in the dash light up and radio comes on, etc. The car is acting as if the neutral safety switch is faulty. I cleaned this thing a year ago so I don't believe its the culprit and as I said the car has cranked weaker over time. I am thinking its a possible starter or starter solenoid issue. Maybe, just maybe alternator or ignition problem. Thanks all.

How about the battery getting weaker? Measure the voltage, etc. NeutSaf. switch if bad prevents any starter action.

I have herd many a story about faulty CTS(Coolant Temp Sensor) causing hard starts.

maybe check your ground cables to make sure they aren't loose or frayed out.

frst thing to check with slow crank is battery voltage. then check the voltage at the starter + terminal to the starter body. if they are significantly different during cranking, the wires are bad. if the battery voltage is low, the battery and/or charging system are bad.
