1992 VOLVO B-230F FI Sensor Removal - How?
Hi and Hello:
I am trying to change the Fuel Injection (FI) Temperature Sensor located on the driver's side of the B-230F engine. It's a bear to change as lots of "stuff" has to be removed to access the sensor and connector. Short story, FI Sensor is an original sensor from my 1992 VOLVO DL-240, 140k miles, all original. A buddy gave me this new sensor, so I decided to install it in my car. I guess I should have placed it on the shelf as I started a daunting task.
After several hours of removing the AIR Control Valve and several hoses, I thought I could access it after this removal. Now more interference. My question is this:
How do you change this sensor? Removal of the Intake manifold? Wiring to the starter motor?
Thanks in advance. You guys are the best for VOLVO experience and knowledge.

I removed my 740 one years ago but seem to recall I had to remove the throttle body . Removed the intake duct work. remove the IAC and then disconnect the few wire clamps that held the FI wire harness. I then was able to get an extension with a deep thin socket to remove it. Had to move the wiring around but it can be done.
