Default 1993 240 Rough Running at Idle

This question has probably been asked many many times before, and I apologize if it has, but I can't find it on the search engine.

I have a 1993 Volvo 240 Wagon that has started to run rough at idle, and stalls when stopped at a stop light or sign. Runs okay at highway speed, but as I mentioned will stall out when stopped. As to date I have changed the spark plugs, distributor cap, and rotor (have not replaced the wires). Also have replaced the main fuel filter next to the fuel pump under the vehicle. Have cleaned the throttle body, the air mass meter air hose, and the idle valve which seems to work okay.

Have not replaced the fuel relay, O2 sensor, or cleaned the mass air meter.

In addition to the starting issues, engine is slow on acceleration unless passing gear is used (have automatic trans)

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I did find out one thing checking around under the hood after I posted the original question. By disconnecting the mass air meter plug, the car now runs like it should (except for the smell of a rich running engine). I have just purchased a can of mass air meter cleaner, and will tackle the job tomorrow. Will post how this turns out.
