ok so i bought this 940 an it supposedly only had a blown head gasket i bought it cheap an everything looked decent from what i could see forgot my tools at home that day when i tried turning it over there was no spark to it so i got it home and found the timeing was way out of order snapped timing belt an distributor cap all out of order got that fixed an it turned over had a rough idle but i figured it was the engine bushings because they were completely shot i let it run for a hr temp came up fine this was at 3 am so the next morning started it again took it to go get a full tank put it in reverse was completely fine got into the road put it in drive and it did not make it past 20 mph then blew the biggest thicked cloud of white smoke ive ever seen from a car exhaust all within lile 15 feet so tore it down expecting a bad gasket but honestly its not bad at all no damage to the pistons the head is actually pretty clean i can tell it did get machined recently like maybe past year no damage to the heads or block does anyone have any advice that could help me pin down what might be the problem this is new to me an im trying to learn more about cars
