Default 1994 940 turbo engine removal

Hi,
I'm so glad this forum is here. I have a 1994 volvo 940 turbo that I bought a new engine for. Is there a guide somewhere with step by step instructions on how to do removal and replacement? also, should I drop the transmission with the engine? Thanks so much for the help.
Jason

"New engine"? Brand new or new to you? Short block or long? What's included? Doesn't matter as long as the new set up matches the old.
Replacement is pretty straight forward--just keep things in proper order, may be take pictures of wiring, piping, etc. if unsure how they go. Helps to have a helper as some of this just takes muscle and an extra pair of hands. You need an engine hoist for sure: try not to scratch/damage things as they come out. I'd pull out just the engine by itself, I think it's easier on RWD cars. Of course that means separating the engine from the tranny, so better if there isn't much rust/stuck bolts or nuts. You know the hood opens to the vertical on these cars, so no removal is called for unlike many other makes.
