1994 940 Volvo
94 non turbo 940, base model. Having a problem with car, the ac blower motor stopped working while I was driving, a short time later at highway speeds the engine died. I pulled to the side of the highway popped the hood pushed a few wires, scratched myself, and tried to start the car again. It started, I did not turn the ac on, and drove it home. Today it did the same thing again, dies and the after a few minutes it starts right up and runs great.
Where should I began to look to see what might be causing it?

Check your crank position sensor. It is located on the top of the bell housing where the engine & transmission are mated. It has a fat black coax type cable running to a connector on the firewall. If the insulation is cracked and flaking off, then it probably needs replacing. Before a hard failure they tend to fail intermittently causing stalls - more often when the engine is warmed up.
That wouldn't explain the blower motor though...

Hello:
Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Thanks for the suggestion. I replaced the crank sensor, and I am still having the same problem. Start the car and let it idle and after 15 minutes to 30 minutes it dies. The engine just shuts off like I've turned the ignition off. It does not seem to starving for fuel, it idles fine, nice and quiet, then shuts off. Any other suggestions on where I could figure it out.
Thanks again.

Does the '94 940 have a radio suppression relay? I know that the 740s had it and it supplied power to the fuel injection. I'm more familiar with the 240s which are wired differently.
Do a search for radio suppression relay or RSR on the forum here and you will come up hits that describe it and how to test for it.
Also, are there any codes for the ECU or ICU?
