1995 940 2.3 L non-turbo, timing question
Good to be on the Volvo forum! I'm installing a timing belt on my 1995 940.
The crank and cam timing is set. I see timing marks on the auxiliary pulley. Since the distributor is cam driven on the back of the head, why are there timing marks on the Aux pulley? Is it hold over from the 240 days when the distributors where mounted on the block? I'm assuming with the 940s the Aux pulley is only for an oil pump drive?? Many thanks!!!
