2 connectors on a 244 tachometer?

2 connectors on a 244 tachometer?
I just picked up a tachometer for my 85 244. The ones I looked at online for the install have one connector for the red/white wire. the one I picked up has 2 connectors? any suggestions. I only have the one red/white wire.

Basically after hooking the tach up it seems to be getting power but it just stays around 2000 RPMs it will not move when the car is cranked. If the red/white to either connector it will do the same.
