Default 240 coolant leak

So last week my engine started getting hot. I checked the coolant and the tank was empty. Filled it and did a quick look for leaks, couldn't find any. No white smoke or goop on the oil cap. Today it didn't get hot but I checked the tank anyway. Bone dry. Used what was left of the coolant jug I bought to fill it last week and got it above the min mark then did a more thorough check for leaks.

I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the heater core/hoses. It looks like its leaking from the top of this plate thingy in the firewall. As far as I can tell there's no coolant in the interior. Carpets are dry and I didn't smell anything. So what exactly is leaking and what needs replacing?

looks like a couple of heater hoses could do you some good - and replace that nasty looking hose clamp while your at it.

Looks like the heater hoses to me too, the bottom one mainly. Replace them and hopefully that will take care of it!

Yup. Ordered hoses off Rockauto, should be here by Fri. For now I'm just keeping a drain pan under it.

Got fed up with pouring new coolant in yesterday and bought a universal 90 degree bend hose and replaced the lower one. I cant be sure yet, but hopefully it fixed the leak.
