Help someone,

I have a 1986 volvo 240 dl. I went over some railroad tracks and it cut off. It sounds like it want to start but wont. Or it will start for 1 to 2 seconds then cuts off. I had a mechanic look at it. He tested the fuel pump and said pump fine. Ii there a fuel injection relay switch for a 240 dl volvo? If so where is it located. Please help a damsel in distress.

 

Check the fuel pump relay. Better yet, replace it if it's original. Passenger side interior, mounted on the firewall. Remove the fiber panel above the passenger's knees. It's a white relay, about 2" x 1.5", the only one there.

 

check main fuel injection fuse on driver side inner fender 25 amps these sometimes blow.
