1990DL 240 Headlights loose
Hello All,
I have a 1990 DL240 Wagon with 160k miles. Today I was modifying the air box, and removing the thermostat. It was stuck open, I guess not replacing the steel flex tubing all these years was a good thing. Anyway, I noticed both head lights were loose, they weren't falling out, they just pivoted. The drivers side seemed to lock back in place when I applied some pressure, but the passenger sides remains loose. Now this car is like me, on the old side so I didn't want to go prying around trying to recon by brute force. To many years and to much plastic. Has anyone ever come across this? Is there a secret to removing them? I looked in Haynes, not a wealth of information there. If so, any information would help.
Thanks in advance.

RE: 1990DL 240 Headlights loose
I had the same problem with my car, but to pass inspection, the inspector made me buy new ones. I bought nice crystal clear ones from eBay for about $120. I didn't investigate the old ones too much, but I think probably they could have been repaired.
