Default 240 DL Deck Upgrade

Hey. I've got a 1987 240 DL that I'm looking to do a stereo upgrade to. I've found a $50 deck on Amazon that would help me a lot mainly because I just threw some aftermarket speakers in the back window and I'm concerned that my stereo isn't giving them the power they need. I have a Clarion ARX4670 model stereo deck in there right now, and I want to put in this Kenwood KDC-152. (
Amazon.com: Kenwood KDC-152 In-Dash MP3/WMA CD Receiver: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Kenwood KDC-152 In-Dash MP3/WMA CD Receiver: Car Electronics
)

I am new to cars but I am eager to learn. The speakers were easy enough to splice into and run a wire from the back of the deck to the back window under the trim. Is this just a simple un-plug and plug in deck replacement and I'm on my way? Or do I need to find some harnesses and splice an adapter into the wiring? If I need to be more specific and post pictures I can.

Thank you for your time!

you'll need to splice the little harness that comes with the new deck onto the old wiring. even within the same brand, stereo harnesses aren't interchangable... and if your car already has an aftermarket stereo, its either already on a volvo plug harness, or the previous install hacked right into the car wiring.. if its been hacked into the factory wiring, and you find funky splices, try and do a better job. I like using marine splices rather than the usual cheap car store ones, and use a ratchet crimper, rather than the cheap pliers crimpers.

a typical aftermarket stereo needs a ground wire (black), always-on-power for its memory (red), switched power for the amplifiers (yellow), an antenna control wire (blue), then 2 wires for each of the 4 speakers.
