Default 240 glt air shocks

Any info would be much appreciated. I recently picked up a 1989 240 GLT and am in the process of sorting it out. While working on the rear brakes I noticed chunky shocks with thin plastic airlines coming out of the sides. Closer examination lead me to discover a little gauge and schrider valve on the right inner wing. Air suspension! What a gem! It gasses up fine but over a few hours sags again. There is little information about the system on the Web, so if anyone has any knowledge of this specific set up and if it's serviceable, then please let me know.

guessing that's not a US market car, as the 240 turbos pretty much dried up here when the 760/740 came out.

ok, yeah, GLT was offered as a sportier GLE circa 82/83 in the USA , and there WAS a GLT Turbo, but the T in GLT doesn't mean turbo.

You are correct, it's not a US car. I bought it from a French friend who was using it to run around on the Mediterranean island of ibiza since 2002. I flew there from Prague and drove it about 1200 miles back to the Czech Republic. It was originally imported to Paris and is on French plates. It is not a turbo, B230E engine.

Before the drive back to Prague.
