Can anyone advise me about a problem I have with the radio cassette player Volvo CR 4042 (original Volvo issue) on my 1988 240 GLT estate? Both radio and cassette player sound fine BUT, when I switch off, the radio sound does switch off but the cassette player goes on running (without sound) if there is a cassette in it, and the light stays on -- until I switch off the ignition when the casssette player goes off too. In other words, so long as the ignition is switch on, it is only possible to switch off the sound of the radio cassette player.

Any ideas?
