Ya hi, i just bought a 93 240, and i was messing around with the stock radio (td 613) and i put in a cassette, then i pressed the rewind and ff buttons at the same time for the reverse function and now it wont do anything. I cant get it out of reverse to play, and i've put in multiple cassettes, but nothing can remedy it. Please help!!!

So, I've not have much luck restoring stock radios. You may consider taking it out and opening up the case to see if anything mechanical has jammed. I would recommend that, because those functions are mechanical. To remove the radio, you have to pull out the plastic pieces on the sides, then undo two screws underneath them. Final part--and the trick, is that there is an anit-theft hook on the back of the radio, so even after you have it apart, you can't pull it out. So, how to get to the anti-theift hook? remove the glove-box. It's actually pretty painless--7 screws (or so) then it all just comes out. Dealing with the anti-theft hook is a different matter. it is the type of hook that goes through & expands, and can't come back the way it came. I just reached my hand up in there, and twisted the hook until it broke off. I've also heard of people getting a wrench up there, but I have not experience in that.

Anyway, check that out. you may be able to better evaluate the situation when you have the radio out.
