240 Overdrive stuck

Default 240 Overdrive stuck
My overdrive light (arrow) goes on and off intermittantly and will not shift into fourth at high speeds when on. It seems as though a switch is bad or loose and does not allow the transmission to shift. I hope it is swith problem and not a $$transmission issue - HELP!
