Default 240 Power Locks Question

Hi, I have a 1992 240. There seems to be a problem with the power door locks. The locks had some problem in them that would cause them to drain the battery. I only figured this out after 2 or 3 batteries. Now to fix this, I took out the fuse. But the fuse also disables other things, the radio for instance and I think the speakers. So my question is, how do you just disable the power locks?

There should be a relay under the dash. Search for it while working the locks.

How did you determine it was the locks and not one of the other things off that fuse?
