hi, i was thinking about repacking the grease in the rear bearing of my 88 245 and was told that it wasn't necessary, that the lubricant is shared with the differential fluid so all that you need to do is change the diff. fluid. reading the procedure for repacking bearings in the bentley manual seems kind of a pain, is it true that the fluid is shared and repacking isn't necessary?
