240 screwy clock, headlight issue.
twice in the last five years the clock on my '93 240 has gone haywire and doesn't keep accurate time. the last time i replaced the rear defog wire through the wagon door, it starting working accurately again. how, i don't know.
any thoughts about why she's marching to her own drummer this time? pehaps another wiring snafu?
i'm always losing one or both of my headlights as well. one light will go out, but when i hit the brights, the good one goes out and the bright on the bad one goes on, so i'm always driving around with one light on. when i install new bulbs, both work for awhile until one goes bad or only the bright works. the filaments, meanwhile, remain in tact.

The instrument lights are on the same circuit as the passenger side parking lights. The wire harnesses that go thru each tailgate hinge fray and break, causing short circuits. However, that should not directly affect the clock as it is an always on kind of thing. I'm thinking the clock and headlights are both ground wire issues, so check 'em out.
