240 turn signal lever
I recently purchased an '87 240DL, and besides a few minor "quirks" (the driver door is very rough to open, the heated seats don't work, the heater is very loud until it warms up, etc. etc. It's far from flawless, to be sure.) there is another problem that just surfaced. My turn signal lever is loose. I noticed it was acting a little funny last night while on the road, so I was sort of playing with it, going from left signal to right, and back again. There seemed to be a lot of play. It is now so loose that neither turn signal works, and the headlights are stuck on the hi-beams. If I push the lever down, it will occasionally activate the left-side blinker, but really no circuit contact other than that.
I can probably try and provide pictures of the whole fixture. Do you think that a plastic piece may have broken off in the cold (-25C) weather? Is this going to be simple to fix?

Or, if you have a junkyard handy, there is a good source.

Welcome to the forum.
I understand you are wanting to change the switch on an S70. You have posted in the RWD forum and would possibly have received a quicker reply in the forum for the S70.
However, here is the VADIS instruction:

Happy New Year.
