Default turn signal lever does not cancel

My '98 S70 turn signal lever stays on (blinks contiuously) even after you finished turning the corner. You have to manually push it back to the original position after the turn. I have taken out the steering column before so I'm familiar how to take it apart. Do I need to replace the turn signal lever or is it something that is repairable?

The lever is bad.
You need a new one.
