Default 240 Warning Lights On Dimly

So I continue to have one problem another with my 89 240 DL Wagon.

Here's the latest...

The dashboard "warning lights" are now always on - but dimly. The battery/charge light, the brake light, and brake failure light.

They are dim enough that they're only noticeable at night. They do not vary in brightness regardless of speed of engine, or lights on or off.

Nothing else has changed. The battery is getting its charge. All other lights are working. I have cleaned all fuses (and holder) & applied a touch of dielectric grease to all of them.

Any ideas?

Never mind.

Turns out that it was the alternator - and apparently I have one heckuva battery!

Even so, it makes no sense to me that the battery warning light would come on so dimly that you can barely see it, and two other warning lights with it. But I guess that's just one more of the many completely jacked up things about this car...

I just reset the brake failure sensor, and jiggled a wire on the alternator, and voila... used this thread:
