I've been told that my 1985 240GL man should have a 5th gear/overdrive (I'm new to volvo's).

How do I get it into 5th?

OK I think I might have found the problem.

I found a website that said you need to press a button on the gear stick when in 4th to get overdrive/5th.

For some reason my volvo does not have the factory gear **** on it?????

 

Pull the **** off and look for 2 wires in the shifter.
