240GL Won't start.
My 240 has not been able to start for months, I got around to checking the spark plugs and coil and I have found that neither of them are getting any fire. So I was wondering what exactly could be causing this and how I could fix it.
I already looked at some other topics but they did not help.
Thanks.

the electrical part of the ignition switch is known to go bad. so with key on you should have power to the coil. If memory serves this is a black/red wire from ign switch that goes to the instrument cluster then on to the coil. When you crank car you will see the speedo pulse to like 10mph once this is to tell you that you have power (clever those volvo people) If you have no pulse and no 12v with ign on then I would suspect electrical part of ign switch. It unplugs and there are two screws that hold it on (not easy to get at unless you are a opossum and can hang upside down by your tail) You can get from ipdusa.com or fpcgroton.com if you need this part
