245 runs with Main fuel pump fuse missing

245 runs with Main fuel pump fuse missing
I just replaced all the fuses in my '85 245 DL and the #6 fuse (Main fuel pump) was missing. How did the engine start and run without it? 
There are no jumper wires between fuse holders.
