Hi I have a 92 240 just stopped in traffic.
I have looked at lots of threads and did some trouble shooting. Fuel rail has a valve that just sperts a little after turning key on.
I just jumped #4 fuse and can hear a buzz. Still will not start. just spins enthusiastically
Any Ideas?

 

Welcome to the forum. Moved this from "New Member" as that is a place to introduce yourself and your car but not for technical assistance. Hopefully someone here with a similar model will be able to help you out.

 

Check to make sure your timing belt hasn't snapped. Take off the oil cap and have a buddy crank the engine. Look into the top of the engine and you should see the cam shaft turning as the engine is cranked. If it doesn't turn, then your timing belt needs replacing.

 

The first thing I did was check for spark -- good spark. Then I started checking the fuel system-- fuel at rail I went back to spark and got no spark but had juice to coil and beyond.
As suggested I checked the timing belt-- broken
I assume it had jumped at first giving me spark but out of time. The next time I tried to turn over the belt must have just broken. Leaning me with no spark.
I had a buddy come over and we replaced the timing belt and tensioner and it runs fine.

The tensioner was rough and that may have been the major contributor to the belt breaking.
