Question 740 electric problem

Sometimes when I start my car the whipers and radio don't turn on, but sometimes when I start my car they do. What is the problem here?

Try wiggling the key next time it happens. Possible worn ignition switch.

Thanks, I'm going to try that today, is it expensive to get that replaced?

Replacing the part that goes out - the electrical part - isn't all that bad. I think I popped the cluster out on my 240 to make it easier to access; I forget what I did on the 740, but I have successfully removed switches from both models at the wreck yard in less than half an hour. Replacing the lock assembly is a PITA, but that's not gonna be your problem. The link in your last post is for the locking part, which is not what you would need.

Jiggling the key worked today, I'm just going to ride that out for as long as I can

I had a similar problem with a few of my 960's. The deal with it was that the key did not return to the II position after I released it from start. What I did was turned the key back just a little after each start. This solved several problems and I drove the car like that for a couple of years. I actually looked at it as a security feature.
