740 M46 into 240 (with auto)

Default 740 M46 into 240 (with auto)

It is what the title says. I'm looking at doing it. I found a 87-ish 740 with an M46 in a junkyard. I want to put it into a '91 240 that has an auto.

I found these:

It's not hard, I'll need the flywheel, clutch parts pedals, trann'y, drive shaft and some wires.

What I need is some advise from people who have some experience with the underside of the 700 and 200 series cars. I see a few potential problems:

The drive shaft length
The trann'y mount
The pedals and master cylinder

I would guess that they did not use the same parts, as they are different series cars.

The quote was $350 to $400 for the deal. Any thoughts?

People at brickboard.com have done it. Be aware that the rear differential ratio is different manual vs. auto.
