I wanted someone to give me a brief overview of some of the processes that are involved in swapping the auto in the 740 with a manual. I am open to any tips or hints. Thank you.

My manual died in my 87 740 turbo wagon. I put in an Auto and gave the car to my 16 year old daughter. I found no info on how to do it but several sources on going from an auto to manual. You'll need the right tranny and matching driveshaft. It will bolt up. You'll also need the shifter assembly, manual clutch and brake pedal, hydraulic fluid resovoir for a manual and clutch master cylinder. You cam just remove the auto tranny oil cooler lines. There is some wiring work to do for the overdrive instrument cluster light.
