Hello, I own a 1995 850 GLT non-turbo and looking to swap the engine for one with a turbo as well as making the automatic into a 5-speed. This is a project car and seeing if this is possible.
Also, could other engines from newer volvos fit in my car and operate properly? Thanks in advance.

 

Yes it is possible. It would be cheaper to just buy a turbo version and save thousands and most important, your sanity.
