Default 740 Turbo, 2 cyls no compression - seeking opinions

I have a 91 740 turbo with about 230k miles. I was coming home from work and it was running great, but then all of a sudden started making a "clacking" sound and losing power. I drove it home the rest of the way (about 15 miles) and carefully watched the coolant...temps normal. I checked compression and have 0 psi (yes, zero) on cyls 1&2 while 3&4 are around 150-160 psi.

There is no smoking from the tail pipe and temp does not rise. I was thinking I could replace the head gasket and continue to drive it. Any thoughts on this? Or is the car bound for volvo heaven?

Thanks in advance.

Pull the head and check the pistons. Could also be valves. Won't know until you pull it apart
