740 turbo coolant/heating issues
My 89 740 turbo has a problem where after I shut the car off I wait and listen to the coolant gurgle possibly overheating? The line under the reservoir expands and it has blown off twice from the pressure in guessing. I also know I have a heater core problem because the rugs are soaked in coolant. If anyone could give me some advice on these matters I would greatly appreciate it! I use the car to save miles on my new car and would like to fix this problem soon

Your coolant is low, h. core leaking... hence the gurgling. The extra pressure is part of that, or may be a blown head gasket.
Fix the heater core, at least bypass it, first. Then make sure the system is full, run the car, see what happens; if the pressure remains high it will mean head gasket problems.

Remove the two hoses that go in/out of the heater core at the firewall. May be pretty stuck but you don't need to worry since the core is shot. Then just connect one hose to the other (the two that come from the the head). You may need a little pipe connector to mate the hoses... That's it! Fill up the system and see what happens. There shouldn't be that much pressure in the system-- just feel the top radiator hose...
