Just added another 740 turbo 89 stationwagon to my fleet of volvo, this one have tranny problems my son started driving it home and about 1/2 mile into the trip, the car stop going , but he stiil had reverse, so I hooked him up to My truck and pulled him home checked the fluid looked brown no smell waited about hour and drove it around the block, good thing I got home because it would not go in drive again

Should I drain the fluid, drop the pan clean the screen , fill it by up and hope for the best??????? or what do you think???

it woulden hurt to try, the only thing you got to loose is a some money for the fluid.

 

Get a Tranny and install it and be done.
