740 turbo turns over-wont start
I have an 87 Volvo 740 Turbo, 178,000 miles. She will not start. Turns over fine, but just wont start. I have replaced so far: in-tank fuel pump (in-line pump functioning fine), distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, radio supression relay... all with no luck. She cranks over, every once in a while fire for a second or two, then goes back to cranking. For the past couple months, she would die while driving her, then start up after about 5 to 15 minutes. Now she wont even start. I am at a loss, can anyone else give me any ideas please. Thanks!!
It is a short somewhere in the electrical system. I have had several short circuits in mine. One was a wire shorting out on my power door lock relay. One short created a burned out fusable link. I have also had to replace the ignition module several times. I eventually bought a brand new wiring harness and replaced every circuit.

Heya
I would check for fuel and spark. Take out each plug and connect to the Plug Wire and ground it out on the block. If you get a solid blue block your good.
When i checked the fuel, I took 4 empty soda bottles and put them on each injector and see if you are getting a good spray and also that you are not leaking.
These two will help dictate whether its an electrical problem or a fuel problem.
Hope this helps
