740T vacuum lines...
anyone know why there's a vacuum line off the riser pipe from the oil seperator box to the main vacuum T on a 1992 740 turbo?
the vacuum nipple on that hose connector just snapped off... the big hose goes to the intake upstream from the turbo, so I'm having real trouble figuring out why vacuum is connected to it.
and, geez, getting the crusty old piece of vacuum line off the EGR actuator, arrrrgh, its wedged in behind the idle air control valve, and short of taking the whole thing apart, I flat out can't get the clamp off or the broken off stub of hose.

yeah, I realize the crankcase fumes are burned... they are plumbed over before the turbocharger via a relatively thick pipe, I'm just wondering why there's also a skinny vacuum line connected to it. on a turbo, vacuum can be 7PSI boost.
I don't know exactly why, may be a breathing balance for the whole system... But I do know that that little nipple on the turbos' fitting gets all hard, and clogged, and it breaks. It's a cheap part to replace.
