Hi, I'm new to the forum.

I'm trying to help my dad with his 81 volvo 245dl 2.1. one day it just wouldn't start so I started did a search that lead me to the fuel pump relay, I was told that the fuel pump relay was on the passenger side on the firewall, but I didn't find a relay, all I found was what looks like a control module of some sort. anyway I tapped on it with a screwdriver and the car started right up. I tried looking for the part on rock auto, ebay and google but I couldn't find anything that looks like it.

Its located inside the car, on the passenger side on the firewall.

any help would be appreciated. Tim.

 

Ok my bad, thats a cruise control box. but could it affect starting or running?
