i need to know what all the proper procidures are to get my 83 244 turbo started... and does the cis fuel injection system really require that much maintnence? thanks

 

If its been sitting 5 years, the CIS fuel system will need to be completely taken apart, except the fuel distributor, never take that apart. Then you'll have to clean out every single line. Dollars to donuts your fuel pumps are done for also. After that replace all the fluids. Pull the plugs. Check the air filter. Probably need a new battery. Spray some oil down through the plug holes to the pistons. Let it sit. Turn the motor over preferably with the plus out so it doesn't start. put the plugs in and try to start it afterwards.
