86 240DL Exhaust

My center muffler is bad and the rear one is fine .. what would the outcome be if I just take the center one out and run a pipe streight to the rear muffler doing away with the center one ..... do I really need both?

MAybe a bit more noise, like a sport style muffler. Mufflers are cheap though.

removing the first muffler just makes it sound like a Turbo 240....I.E. Cool!
