Default 86 Volvo 240...electrical ?

I bought an 86 War Wagon up in whitefish Montana just last month for 600$
It has 232,000 and I have put 1,000 miles on it in less than a month (montana down to idaho, almost to Nevada when she died).
She started bogging down whenever she was getting toward the half tank mark in her gas tank.
Id only have to give it like 5 min before I could drive off again.
Problem became more difficult to deal with as the time between stalling would get closer together.
I replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump.
Fuel pump relay (can't hear it feel it clicking)
No spark no start. (Exceptt for two days ago for two hours until I went to bed then nothing still).
Cleaned all grounds and improved contacts at groundes.
Checked wires, circuits, distributor /rotor hall sender, ecu, Ignition control module and I'm getting frustrated.
Everything I've checked has worked in terms of fuel pump relay it the bypass to turn them on (fuse #4&6)
And we have gotten sparks and had this vehicle running 5 different times..
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank yu

Any idea if wire harness is original? '86 is one of those years with the harness that degrades and causes all kind of problems.

Which fuel pump did you replace...under the car or in the gas tank?

I replaced the inline fuel pump (under the car) in take is running and if I keep above half a tank it shouldnt matter right?
It seems that the loom was doctored, and we have different color wires running on the diagram we have (Mitchell shopkey)
It seems to have been replaced before I bought it.
The distributor is running different colors as well.

Symptoms sound like a failed in-tank pump or the rubber tube that connects the pump to the hard metal gas line. Check out this site for diagnosing and repair:
