Default 86 Volvo 240 Engine sound. Help

Hey I have volvo 240 and yesterday it died on me, It lost all its power and as much as i pressed on the gas it wouldn't move. It still turned on but like I said great loss of power/choking/stumble when reeved. I thought it might of overheated my cluster doesn't work and it was over 100 degrees here in cali. I let it sit and cool for 5 hours and the car started up and is running normal again but there's engine noise now. Heres a video of the engine sound, Hope its normal. Thanks

Most likely PISTON SLAP.
Engine overheats, block expands, piston doesn't, moves laterally causing noise. Common b230 condition on engines up to 1992 (longer piston skirts after that). If there are no other symptoms like rough idle, increased oil consumption, smoke, you'll be ok for a long time, 100+ k miles but it will sound like a diesel... Noise should be louder at start, getting less as the car warms?

Idles great, Oil has been at the same level. No smoke but I do smell a burning smell I'm not sure if that's just oil residue burning. Yeah the noise does gets less after it warms up. So I'm guessing time to start looking for a new engine, Damn it.

Well, you are good for some 100,000 more miles, UNLESS the noise really bugs you which depends on the loudness... I have never fixed that problem specifically but the ones that have say another BLOCK is what it takes. I wonder if just some oversized pistons/rings may do the trick. It's not hard to do that on a Red Block but neither is to throw a newer motor in there...
