Cool 87 244 engine swap

I have a 1987 244 that runs and drives and I know a guy that owns 2 245 turbos (years unknown but pre 87 because one of them has a 4 speed and the other is an automatic). I have been using these cars as parts cars because they have been sitting for a long time. The owner said I am welcome to swap engines for more power from the turbo engine (manual turbo has 170k and my 244 has 160k).
My question is what parts differ from the turbo engine to the NA engines? I would rather take parts off and put them on my engine instead of swapping if that is realistic but I need to know if that's not worth it. Basically, if the stock internals from the NA are the same as the turbo and I can just take the turbo, exhaust manifold, and whatever else then that would be good to know.

Turbo motors have lower compression ratio, different valves, different camshafts... Turbo 240's were CIS-E aka K-Jet fuel injection, and they were a smaller 2.1L version, the B21FT. Last sold in the USA circa 1983, and dropped when the 760 Turbo came out. you would need just about everything under the hood, and the fuel pump too, as CIS uses significantly higher fuel pressure.

would my NA 87 5 speed transmission work with the 2.1L turbo engine? or would I have to use the 4 speed/ get a new transmission?

the 5-speed is not as sturdy as the 4 speed + OD that was used on turbo manuals. ditto the AW70 automatic used on non-turbos isn't as sturdy as the AW71 used on 940 turbos (and later 740 T's, too)

volvo 240/740/940 turbos also got awful gas mileage, but they sure do have a lot of low end torque, especially the later intercooled LH 2.4 versions (1990+ 740/940)... our 87 240 consistently got about 24 MPH around-town average, and up to 30-32 MPG on long highway trips... My 1992 740 T wagon got typically 15-18 MPH, sometimes as low as 13 MPG in town, and rarely better than 20 MPG on the highway.
