Default 88 245 crazy electric issues

Hello all. This is my first post here. Hopefully someone out there can get me pointed in the right direction. I have a 1988 245DL that runs great. Last week I pulled a aftermarket radio that was in the car when I got it in order to upgrade to a newer MP3/cd player. Anyway, I cut the old head unit wire harness wires to free it up and didn't think much about it (should have capped them I know).

Now here is where it gets interesting.

Issue No. 1- Today I noticed that the clock (one of the gauges above the vents, top center console) is not working, but the back light for the clock does still work.

Issue No. 2- Usually when I lock the drivers door, all other unlocked doors will also lock. This didn't happen today when I locked the drivers door. I had to manually lock each door after locking drivers door.

Issue No. 3- When the car is running, or the ignition is in the "on" position, I can lock the drivers door from the inside and suddenly will hear the same "ding, ding, ding" sound that the car makes when you first turn the ignition.

Issue No. 4- At this point I started checking everything to see what worked and what was having issues. I turned the overhead lamp on, and would you believe it, the same "ding ding ding" turns on as long as the lamp switch is in position to turn the light on. (but the light does NOT turn on)

I haven't hooked the new radio wire harness up to the car's wires. I'm hoping that this will somehow fix the problems, but I can't imagine it being that simple. If anyone has experienced this or knows enough about the wiring to know what in the world just happened, please let me know!

Thanks, I've used this forum for a lot of stuff. Here's hoping that someone can save my day again.

sooo, you pulled the radio then all these problems started? Hmmm I think the answer is clear if thats the case. Though on a side not i have only seen two working small clocks in the 240's in my life. 2, and i've been in a lot of them.

DOH!!!! Nailed it. Thanks man.

Adub, I thought that pulling the radio then having all these issues was too big a coincidence as well. But that #8 fuse is a goner. I'm glad I'm getting my clock back. That really threw me off when I suddenly had 2 hours to get to where I was going instead of 15 minutes.

Now my question is where do you find fuses? Online? is there an auto store that caries the euro ceramics?
