89' 240 DL Evap test

my 1989 240 dl failed the evap. test when i got it smogged.

any clues as to where i can start looking for the leak?

I'm assuming this is a California test?

A smoke test can pinpoint it. Low pressure, inject smoke at the gas cap, look for the leak. Not really a DIY job. You could check the hoses to the canister.
