My 1989 240 does not idle on it's own upon starting. The only way I can get it to idle is by holding it at 1000 rpm for about 15 seconds, and then the idle falls a little below that. I have to do this every time I turn the car on. Once I get an idle, the car will drive beautifully for the rest of any given trip. Any ideas?
