89 Volvo 240 Alternator

Will a70 amp alternator from a 87 Volvo 240 work in my 89 Volvo 240 which normally has an 80 amp alternator?

It should work unless you have a bunch of aftermarket stuff hooked up to the car.

Is there another alternator that would work better? Like from a different model? Every place I called doesn't have an 80 amp in stock.
