Angry 90 240 Loses Power on Acceleration Part 2

Hey guys, I just wanted to provide an update to my previous post with everything I know now. Hopefully, this will make things more clear and help some other people out.

If you saw the last post you already know the problem, but to sum it up, after coming to a stop, the car cuts out/loses power for a few seconds. The car will idle but the engine will not respond to input for a good few seconds. I thought the problem had been isolated to either the MAFS or the crank position sensor, but after learning more it seems to be even more mysterious.

What I know:
-The acceleration problem always begins with a rough, lurching idle (the car will idle fine most of the time).
-After testing the OBD, the car is throwing a 3-2-2, which according to the Bentley book is "Air Mass Meter hot wire burn off not working".
-I have replaced the crankshaft position sensor but have not yet gotten my hands on a good Bosch MAFS.
-The problem is intermittent and super hard to replicate. I would say it happens 1 out of 8 drives.
-Occasionally, accelerating during this stalling will result in a small popping sound from the throttle pedal.
-The car has a strong burning rubber smell afterward.
-Fuel system is good
-MAFS is 7 years old and is unbranded

Thank you so much for welcoming me into this community; I really appreciated all the input on the last post. Thank you for any help!

Points to a faulty MAFS most likely.
