'90 740 GL Odd Stall
200K on it and it has run like a champ. Just replaced the oxygen sensor last week after getting an error code, drove it 240 miles R/T to the airport with no problems. However, for the first time ever, it stalled on me twice today: once backing in to a spot while parallel parking and the other was pulling into a parking spot. The only similarities were the very slow speed turns and that both times it took longer to restart, almost like a half-dead battery or trying to start it after a long, long time. Other than than that, no problems throughout the day. I will add that I completely emptied the tank on my return last night and filled it this morning.
I checked the computer and no codes. I'm suspecting the fuel filter with the empty tank, but am wondering if I'm missing something else basic? Any input is appreciated.

In tracking this down, I've cleaned the throttle body and replaced the fuel filter. The fuel filter fittings seem to be giving me the most trouble, leaking on the rear end of the filter and at the pump. I'm trying to varying degrees of tightening, but am having little luck. Any suggestions?
you did replace the copper washers, right?
if you did, maybe one was a defect... try a new set on it, leak should go away... might want to check for a vacuum leak around the intake if the stalling persists...

I did replace the copper washers and I should have mentioned that in my post. Finally got it leak free and it appears to have been a matter of just the right tightness. I think I may have overtightened in the beginning....
